Backsplash above kitchen counter. Is it possible to use vinyl flooring material for that purpose? It is a?
vertical, applied to the wall, application. Is it possible? Are there any reasons to NOT do it?
Any recommendations when attempting to use that material for that purpose?
I can't find any flooring manufacturers that will recommend their products for that purpose, nor do I see that type of material being manufactured for vertical applications.
Vinyl floors look great when they are put down, but then scratch easily. As time goes on the glue starts to unstick. Also if you watch the home improvement shows for flooring they are not using vinyl on the floors, they are using more cost effective and green materials. If you have already talked to manufacture that recommends it, then its not wise to do it. There is recycled glass tiles that are really pretty and cool! If you want to get a better return in the long run check out something that is green! Check out HGTV website and DIY website. There are way better choices out there! The kitchen is one of the main rooms that sell a house!
