How many two-faced politicians do you recall? What was Powell's agenda when he entered into politics? What is it now? Is he interested in learning how the grass on the Democrat's side of the fence tastes?

He left the military in 1993 - 15 years ago! Have you only just noticed?

He became a "professional" politician in 2000, when he was appointed Secretary of State. He was a Republican politician, but his moderate views always made it likely he would see sense and go over to the Democrats.

I am surprised to learn that, whilst this appears to be widely held general knowledge to us Brits here in the UK, it apparently comes as something of a surprise to some Americans hahahahahaha.
