This year's winner of the Consumers Choice Award in the category of best Calgary lounges offers a wide range of food and drink specials as well as a great atmosphere to relax, unwind and enjoy.
Stavros Pizza & Sports Bar has been a local favorite for years, with people driving from all over Calgary and surrounding areas to try out the famous pizza and enjoy great drink specials every day of the week. The name may seem to indicate they only serve pizza, but the menu is full of options for pasta and mouth watering hand made burgers that are sure to fill you up no matter how large your appetite may be. However, it must be noted that the Stavros Special is perhaps the most ordered thing on the menu. It is a pizza with pepperoni, salami, ham, beef, shrimp, mushrooms, peppers, black olives, pineapple and onions, and anything else you may want to add. The drinks are also outstanding and the beer is always served in ice cold glasses, perfect for sipping and enjoying with the amazing food items on the menu. They have a Happy Hour as well as specials for the day, and the prices are very reasonable. Stavros Pizza & Sports Bar wouldn't be a sports bar without great atmosphere and lots of sports entertainment. Large screen TV's are easy to see from the tables and are always on the current games from around the world in all types of sporting events. The overall décor is pub style, very comfortable and casual and a great place to meet friends and new people.
With all the drinks and food specials and pizzas made to order it is no wonder that Stavros Pizza & Sports Bar has been awarded the Consumers Choice Award for best of the Calgary lounges. This award is voted on by consumers in the city each year, allowing only the top business to receive the annual award. With all the lounges, bars and restaurants in a city is truly an honor to be selected as the top. The voting is done through a survey managed by an independent third party research company. Only awarded in Canada and the United States the Consumers Choice Awards have been in place since 1986, helping the business community to provide excellence in service that is recognized by their customers.
